Restorative Yoga is a practice designed to promote physical, mental and emotional relaxation. Breanna will guide you into gentle restorative postures to compliment the nervous system and release deeply held tensions from the body and mind. The poses require no muscular effort and are held for longer intervals while the body is fully supported by props such as blankets, bolsters, and blocks.
In addition, experience the benefits of Yoga Nidra (Yogic Sleep), a systematic method of inducing a deeply relaxed state of being. It is said that one hour of yoga nidra is equivalent to 4 hours of sleep. You will lie in a comfortable, supported position and be guided through several stages starting with developing a deep intention for your life and practice. Then learn to focus your awareness on and consciously relax different parts of your body with a body scan. The remainder of the practice draws you deeper and deeper into relaxation with breath awareness, guided imagery, and stillness.
